Do The Thing does not provide syncing services, nor does the app developer have access to user-created content. What you create in the app stays in the app! You may, however, decide to back up app data to your personal iCloud account.
Analytics data is anonymous unless you choose to share your email address when reporting issues.
Do The Thing collects aggregate, anonymous usage statistics to improve the app. We use the following analytics and bug reporting services and are subject to their respective privacy policies:
Instabug
Google Analytics (Firebase)
What are anonymous usage statistics? The following information is collected about all users:
Current Do The Thing app version
Device model and operating system version (e.g. iPhone 15 Pro running iOS 17.5.1)
Country
Your device will register basic events, including but not limited to tasks created and completed, projects closed and completed, etc. This information is for analytics purposes to see how people are using the app and ONLY records that an event happened at all (e.g. “task created”) and includes NO user-created content or identifying details whatsoever. In other words, this is very big-picture and can’t be used to track individuals.
By using Do The Thing, you authorize us to collect, use, and store the information described above outside of the European Union.
By using Do The Thing, you consent to this privacy policy.
If you have questions regarding this privacy policy, email us at hello@dothething.app.
